Event HQ is at Lawling Park Hall, Mayland. In Mayland turn left into “The Drive” then take the second Left “Katonia Ave”
(Note first left is an alternative car park) then turn left past the school into the car park. The village hall is at the end of the car park by the tennis courts. CM3 6AD
To get to the start, go back to the main Bradwell Rd. turn left towards Steeple and then Right into Grange Road (opposite Mayland Mill PH)
at the end of Grange Road, turn right into Green Lane and proceed towards Althorne until you reach the Huntsman and Hounds PH at Althorne. The start is approximately 2 miles from the HQ , so please allow plenty of time to get there.
At the start, please observe below mentioned local regulation regarding u-turns. Riders starting towards the end of the field need to be aware that early riders will be completing their first lap and passing through the start area while
they are still awaiting their start. Please queue in single file at the start.
Tillingham and Steeple Villages – Riders please be aware that both villages (especially Tillingham) have parked vehicles on both sides of the road, as well as several hidden entrances and exits on both sides of the road.
The following precautions should be taken at the start and finish areas:
A) No U turns within sight of the start and finish areas. Any riders carrying out this dangerous manoeuvre are liable for disqualification from the event and further disciplinary action from the district committee.
B) In respect of consideration for local residents static trainers ( e.g. turbo trainers ) are banned from morning events held in the L.E district.
C) Do not stop at the finish
NUMBERS AND SIGNING ON WILL BE AT THE EVENT HQ
IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY. Cycling Time Trials and the Event Promoters strongly advise that you wear a HARD SHELL SAFTEY HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard. ALL RIDERS UNDER THE AGE OF 19 ON 31ST DECEMBER 2010 MUST WEAR SUCH A HELMET
It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
