ff Jones (drag2zero) scored a run away win in Sunday’s RTTC-Rudy Project Time Trial Series at Harby, Lincolnshire. The 2011 British Best All Rounder took 51-37 to cover the 24.5 miles leaving runner-up Scott Walker (MG Décor Team Carbon Bikes) trailing by over 3-00 with third placed Jack Green (VC St Raphael) at 5-14.

Walker, however, led his club to team success, backed by veterans Geoff Platts and Graham Green.

Jack Green also took the Espoir’s top spot, enhancing his position as leader in that overall competition as Jones had done in the Senior category.

The Women’s event, over 14.1 miles, provided Julia Shaw (drag2zero) with an equally decisive victory, her 31-55 giving her a 3-36 winning margin over Natasha Morrison (RLS CC). Clare Ella (Born to Bike) completed the women’s top three with her 36-25.

Overall the Women’s Series remains in the hands of Rebecca Slack (London Dynamo) with 298 points out of a possible 300.

The Veteran’s event saw Julian Ramsbottom (Scunthorpe Polytechnic) continue his domination in that category scoring his fifth win in this year’s TT Series to seal overall victory in the season long veteran’s competition.

Ramsbottom covered the 14.1 miles event in 30-42 beating Ian Dalton (Cherry Valley RT) by 28 seconds. Nigel
Haigh (Sportscover-Altura RT) filled third place with a 31-36. John Woodburn (VC Meudon) maintained his grip on the Target Time competition with a +9-19 with Geoff Platts second with a +7-31.

In a two-handed race event regular Jake Coward (Chippenham & District Wheelers) had to give best to Tom Bracegirdle (Team Elite-Paul Bethell Electrical), winner with his 33-33.  Coward came home in 35-13 and maintained his overall lead in the Junior TT Series.

Colin Lynch (Macclesfield Wheelers) and Tim Challinor (Para T Cycling Squad) fought it out in the Disability category with Lynch coming out on top with an adjusted time of 28-12 to Challoner’s 30-59. Challinor leads overall.
