  1. A joint promotion between British Cycling & Cycling Time Trials under BC/UCI Regulations.
  2. All competitors must have been continuously resident in Great Britain for the two previous years or have proven British nationality. Such persons must be either a member of an affiliated Cycling Time Trials/SCU Club/Team or a Silver or Gold member of British Cycling. Non BC members who are members of CTT affiliated clubs wishing to ride the Championship will be given the appropriate level of BC membership free of charge.
  3. Championships:
    Men (40-50km) Women (20-30km)
    Espoir (30-40km) Espoir Women (20-30km)
    Junior Men (20-30km) Junior Women (20-30km)
    Masters (30-40km) Disability Category (20-30km)


     
    The Masters Championships shall be in five-year age bands. For 2011 these shall be as follows: 

    Master A 30 - 34 born in 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981
    Master B 35 - 39 born in 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976
    Master C 40 - 44 born in 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971
    Master D 45 - 49 born in 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1964
    Master E 50 - 54 born in 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961
    Master F 55 - 59 born in 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956
    Master G 60 - 64 born in 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951
    Master H 65 - 69 born in 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946
    Master I  70 - 74 born in 1937, 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941
    Master J             born in 1936 or earlier

     

    Juniors must be 14 years old on 1st January 2011 and no older than 18 on 31st December 2011.
    Cycling Time Trials will run a separate non Championship event under their Rules, Regulations and Insurance for those Juveniles excluded by this condition.

  4. Master and Espoir riders may opt to ride in the Men’s Championship.
  5. Each lap shall be approximately 16km in length and undulating in nature with three laps to be completed by the winner of the Men’s event at a speed of just over 50kph.
  6. A Special entry form and declaration shall apply with British Cycling insurance cover. Entries will close 28 days prior to the event.
  7. The wearing of protective hardshell helmets is compulsory for all competitors.
  8. Overall control of the event on a day to be overseen by a UCI Chief Commissaire as appointed by BC.
  9. Following service vehicles shall be restricted to those riders as agreed by the organisers. Each such vehicle should have room to carry a Commissaire/Observer.
  10. A maximum of the top ten seeded riders shall be the last to start in each Championship, with at least a two-minute gap between the start times allocated to each such rider.
  11. In all categories except Masters, machines to be used shall comply with current UCI Technical Regulations. Juniors shall be restricted to a gear of 7.93 metres.
  12. The colours of clothing worn by competitors shall be at their discretion, except that only those commercial endorsements previously registered with Cycling Time Trials or BC may be worn. Where a rider meets the requirements of Regulation 2, above but holds a competition licence of a foreign UCI affiliated Federation, he/she may ride in the name, colours and sponsors of that team as shown on such a licence.
  13. Men, Women, Espoirs & Juniors: 
    Where there are eight or more entrants in any category Specific Medals (1st, 2nd, 3rd) to be awarded along with standard National Champion’s Jersey showing the logos of both organisations. Where there are six/seven entrants Medals shall only be presented to the first two places along with a Jersey. Where there are less than six, but more than two entrants a Gold Medal will only be awarded to the winner along with a Jersey.
    Disability, Masters & Junior Women:
    Where there are five or more entrants in any category Specific Medals (1st, 2nd, 3rd) to be awarded along with standard National Champion’s Jersey showing the logos of both organisations. Where there are four entrants Medals shall only be presented to the first two places along with a Jersey. Where there are three entrants a Gold Medal will only be awarded to the winner along with a Jersey.
  14. The notifications as required under the Cycle Racing on the Highways Act shall be managed by the relevant Cycling Time Trials District.
  15. The entry fee shall be £15 with the levy income (£5.00) shared equally between BC and Cycling Time Trials after the purchase and engraving costs of the medals.
  16. All local regulations relevant to the use of the course shall be adhered to and printed on the startsheet.
